Before you open the hardware bag

Confirm your screen diagonal and outer frame dimensions. Leave margin around speakers, doors, trim and ceiling.

Check cabinet depth. The projector may need to move forward or backward significantly as screen size changes.
Mark a true centerline. Centering errors make later keystone correction tempting, but physical alignment should do the heavy lifting.

Why UST alignment is unusually sensitive

A tiny movement at a projector sitting close to the wall changes where a steep light cone lands several feet above it. That is why the top corners can move dramatically while the projector itself shifts only slightly.

Assemble the frame on a clean, protected surface

Keep dust, metal edges and debris away from the screen surface. Tension evenly, verify the frame is square, and avoid touching the optical surface more than necessary. Follow the merchant's orientation markings so the lenticular material faces the correct direction.

Mount, then use geometry—not aggressive digital correction

Get the projector level, centered and at the correct distance before using software warping. Digital geometry correction can be convenient, but physical alignment preserves the cleanest use of the projector's imaging area.
